  • ALL TANNING IS ACCEPTED AT OWNER’S RISK ONLY!

We have no control over your trophy or skin prior to our receiving it for mounting. Factors like primeness, time of year, climatic conditions (hot or cold) and the manner in which the trophy was cared for in the field. It is very important that our customers realize that the care that your trophy receives in the field directly determines the quality of the finished mount. If the skin is allowed to dry out or gets wet; if it has throat or skin cuts; if a trophy has been salted and the ears, nose, and lips haven’t been properly turned, the tanning process may not be of the best quality, affecting the overall finished mount. Do not use rock salt, iodized salt, or pepper on raw skins.

If the hide is green and/or tacky in touch, this is and indicator that hair slip may occur during the tanning process. Occasionally a skin will not tan or goes to pieces during the tanning process due to improper handling before we received it. We cannot assume any responsibility or guarantee on the tanning of any skin. The limit of our liability for loss or damage to any merchandise while in our possession shall not exceed the actual reasonable market cash value.
